Project at a glance

The challenge

Wholesale and distribution operations need warehouse stock and order-to-delivery workflows without changing an existing retail deployment.

The work

Created a separate application/database environment, expanded distribution workflows and packaged client installation and licensing.

Verified status

Setup 1.1.0 and business-setup work are documented. Live rollout, data reconciliation and complete connected workflow checks are not finished.

  1. Establish the operating structure

Business setup, fiscal periods, warehouses and opening balances form the starting point for the application.

  2. Follow stock between locations

Warehouse transfers, adjustments, damage and expiry screens make stock activity explicit.

  3. Connect the commercial workflow

Orders, deliveries, returns and payments are part of the workflow under verification, alongside installer and licensing work.

01 / The thinking

Giving distribution its own operating model.

The challenge.

Wholesale and distribution operations need warehouse stock and order-to-delivery workflows without changing an existing retail deployment.

The approach.

Created a separate application/database environment, expanded distribution workflows and packaged client installation and licensing.

02 / Capabilities

Built around the work.

01

Independent deployment

Separate application connections, local storage and a dedicated distribution database isolate the distribution project from retail.

02

Warehouse stock

Warehouse transfers, damage, expiry and stock adjustments update warehouse and total-stock views through connected workflows.

03

Distribution flow

Order, delivery, return and payment modules form the operational chain under active verification.

04

Customer and supplier balances

Credit returns, customer payments and account history are part of the distribution workflow.

05

Business setup

Fiscal profile, cash registers, warehouses and opening balances support initial configuration.

06

Client packaging

A versioned Windows setup prepares application and database components, with demo and registration/licensing work.

03 / Technology

04 / Delivery

Where the project stands.

Client installer built

A Windows client installer for version 1.1.0 is documented. Live rollout, reconciliation and complete connected-workflow checks remain unfinished. Gallery images use synthetic QA data and component test harnesses.
